Description

This model was designed and tested as part of the 3D4VIP project. These models can be used to create different standard traffic situations for the Netherlands. Models can be used with non sighted learners to understand Orientation & Mobility. Based on the models from Australia by Leona Holloway. The models for Dutch situations should also be compatible with her additional models on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5178823

Printing instructions and tips

3D prints For the 3D prints, I would suggest using a filament colour switch when the base plate is printed to get a two colour print. Layer height can vary between 0.1mm and 0.3mm. If the print contains the indicators for grass I would use a lower layer height. Board: For the board you can use the .dxf files on this page if you have a laser cutter available. You would need to cut two files: the top and the bottom. Glue them together and you’re good to go. You can use cardboard, acrylic sheet or even wood, whatever your preference is.
