Description

Choose those hexagonal tiles relevant to the curriculum requirements. Students who use braille and print can work together using the labels and tactile symbols to arrange the hexagonal tiles and connecting arrows to form a carbon cycle. Print lettering is inset so that it does not cause tactual interference for touch readers. Tiles included: absorption, animals, atmosphere, combustion, decomposition, fossil, fuel, limestone, ocean, photosynthesis, plants, respiration, sedimentation, arrows, arrow (long), arrow elbow (L-R and R-L) Decomposer model uses Modular Mushrooms by DaveMakesStuff on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5264387 Animal model uses コアラ(Koala)3Dデータ by YahooJAPAN on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:182225 Fuel model uses jerry can by leonah Remix of Water Cycle by leonah on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4692170

Printing instructions and tips

Connectors have not been incorporated into the design so that students can move the pieces around quickly. It is recommended that the pieces be used on a non-slip surface, or that non-slip matting be added to the base of the tiles. Magnets could also be added. There are two extended arrows due to the shapes required. These are used to connect fuel to the combustion tile and the combustion to the atmosphere tile. Print at least 14 arrows and one each of the arrow (long) and arrow elbows
